Good morning and good tidings and good cheer, as we all enter this New Year! How very lucky are we, to turn the pages on 2023, and commit all of is hard-won lessons to memory.
The quote resonating with me at present is this: "Celebrate endings - for they precede new beginnings." - Jonathan Lockwood Huie
Finding the light in the dark... the blessings in the sorrow... the lesson in the pain... seems... impossible in the moment, and then so very natural in its course. The ending... endings... that feel so like a rupture, reveal themselves as a shifting... a painful "making room" for what comes next.
And of endings, there have been so many. With you, we mourn losses that left shadow where once there was vibrancy. We held hands or phones or lifelines for one another, through illness and job loss and unwanted changed. Beside you, we peaked crests and rose from great falls, and crawled forward. We found new purpose, and new interests. We found closed doors, and chose new paths. We traveled home.
And now, that's memory. And we've the New Year ahead, with all of its promise and all of its paths.
Wishing you and yours the brightest start, as we celebrate the ending of 2023 and begin anew!
