New Year's Eve 2022

Tennyson, the poet, wrote:
"Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering 'it will be happier.'”

What an enchanting thought that is...the 'better yet to come' just round the corner. The New Year beckons, but a few hours away, with the promise of glorious moments to come...new challenges to meet head-on, new vistas to explore, new moments in which to find your limits tested and discover your own hidden depths. It will be happier...and perhaps, sadder. Fuller, weightier...different but familiar.  It will be what you make of it, and what it makes of you.

I know as I write these words that, for some of you, this year has been one to forget...one full of unfathomable heartache and heartbreak. We have walked alongside you, sharing your grief.

Just as for others of you, it has been a year of highlight reel moments...births, weddings, promotions, graduations, moves, etc... And we have rejoiced in your joys.

But in this moment, we pause to reflect and catalogue and 'put away' all that's passed, as we raise a glass of cheer and step toward hope.

Wishing you realization of hopes, fulfillment of dreams, and moments that will become cherished memories in the year ahead.
