...the thankfulness project...

During the month of November I made a point (or at least an attempt) to daily post on Facebook a few things I was thankful for as we counted down the days to Thanksgiving. I was absolutely delighted when a few friends joined in along the way, and oh-so-proud when even a curious Mister Man read over my shoulder and then started making lists of his own.

A simple plan, really. Just taking note of those good things in my life. And starting my day with a focus on the blessings and not the stresses.

Now it comes to the day of the Thanksgiving and the predicted end of this exercise, and I find I'm a bit unwilling to give it up. The daily challenge of changing my mindset from 'how to handle this stressor' to 'seek out the positive things' has become a habit worth holding on to. And in some ways it has even prompted me to go outside of my comfort zone and seek out positive experiences I might otherwise have passed up on in favour of tackling other projects.

So fast forward to the plan right?

Starting today it's 365 days of thanks (which yes, means I actually have to take the time to hop online and post each and every day!?!) and here's the breakdown:

365 days in a year = limitless reasons to be thankful! So bring on the challenge!

365 T.T.P. (The Thankfulness Project) blog posts
...365 moments to be thankful for
...365 thank-yous to others
...365 things about myself to be thankful for

...and I invite you to join in. Here's how:

a)leave a comment with your reasons for thanks that day
-or-
b)write your own T.T.P. post on your own blog, enclose a link to this post and send a request to join to TheThankfulnessProject(at)gmail(dot)com, and the following day you'll be added to the T.T.P. blogroll list at the bottom of all my subsequent T.T.P. posts
-or-
c)drop me a line at TheThankfulnessProject(at)gmail(dot)com with your name/username and what your thankful for and I'll add it to the bottom of the following days post.

Now let's get started!
